Rome wasn't built in a day
The world mostly agrees America is the Rome of the 20th century. Though I think their power will not reign as long. China is growing fast & 'owns' a good chunk of the U.S.(in bonds) 48% was the last number I heard. Kind of like a business takeover. Like Rome, The US insists on conquering others. Imposing their lyfestyles, religions & political systems. Yet wonder why other countries have a hard time tolerating them.
Let's see. The current 'democratic' system in America has taken a 300 hundred plus years to achieve its current form. Along the way, massacring natives, chinese, japanese, africans, women, hispanics, witches & anyone else deemed to be different... Thankfully most have learned everyone are equal.
However, why does the current administration simply think they can walk into Afganistan & Iraq. Occuppy them militarily. Change their whole political & belief structure. Remember all the times someone tried to change one part of the value system we have held. There were literally people killing each other. I hear how the '60s were a crazy time on many different fronts. From space races to nuclear bomb drills to class struggles.Could you imagine what the situation must be like across the ocean? Being forced to change everything without being asked if this is what you want? Most of us are annoyed when telemarketers phone. Can't imagine what Iraqis & Afganistans are force to go though for the sake of good old fashion U.S.A. style democracy. Wish the Americans could remember the struggles & sacrifices which happened along the way so others won't have to go through them. But they don't get much say in the matter, do they?
Paul
I've never tried to block out the memories of the past, even though some are painful. I don't understand people who hide from their past. Everything you live through helps to make you the person you are now.

Medical terminology can cause confusion at the best of times. If there is a word you do not understand all you have to do is double-click on it and the definition will appear! Don't forget to drop me a line by email at versilleus@gmail.com with your comments, questions‚ recommended resources‚ concerns‚ & especially your experiences with clusters. Or come find me on my Facebook Profile to add me as a Friend. Whether you are a supporter‚ care-giver or sufferer. I would love to hear from you!
*Please do not use this information for self diagnoses. Writing about my experiences with chronic cluster headaches & epilepsy is a good outlet for me. Consult your Dr. with any kind of headache or chronic pain you may have. The 3rd party links on my site I have found to be a good resource to me over the past few years & dearly hope they will benefit you as well.*
