Well, this is my first post, on my first blog. I'm writing this because my cluster attacks wake me and I can never get back to sleep, at least without distrupting my love's sleep. Plus it beats filling anymore spiral note-books with nonsense. Makes much more sense to put it on the web:)
I figure I'll start off talking about myself. I'm a male in his mid 20's suffering horribly(at least from my perspective) from a condition called cluster headaches . It started suddenly almost 2 and half years ago, though I was only diagnosed in the the last year. Clusters have the distiction of being nick-named 'suicide headaches' because of extreme measure sufferers will take to escape the intense pain during an attack. They are without a doubt extremely dibilitating. Sufferers tend go many hardships on a personal level as well. Family, friends and loved ones have a hard time understanding how the pain can be so bad without them being able to see the injury. Some(loved ones, friends etc..) stray away from them not realizing they are needed the most now.
I know this isn't much of an insight but its 5:30am and I'm going to try to catch an hour or two of rest. Hope you enjoyed this as much as I've enjoyed writing it. I will do a little more in a few hours.
