Marriage

Same sex marriage. An issue that for some reason Canadians feeling strongly about. Now I personally do not understand the problem. Religious groups, particulary Christianity & Catholicism, are saying due to their particular belief system, marriage can only be between a man and a woman. Well, that is all well and good. They are entitle to their own beliefs. However, marriages have been taking place alot longer than Christianity & Catholicism have been in existence.

I do agree with them on one point. Having a marriage ceremony conducted by a priest who is inclined with a religion such as Christianity & Catholicism is something the gay community should not expect. But that being said. The 'donation plate' which is past around in every service does not stop a gay or lesbian person from adding to it. Also during my time with a church one of the main mottos was to tolerate everyone and bring them to the church for prayer(paraphrasing). Seems a bit contridictory to me. Oh yes, I forgot to mention, it was also believe at this particular church, prayer would change the 'gay sinners'. Curious how a heterosexual persons sins can be instinctively forgiving in the eyes of the church but a homosexuals can't.

I love the fact the government is into this. Seems a tad strange citizens are not raising more of an issue with the government being in our bedrooms. Next they will be back to banning oral sex etc... So much for our charter allowing sexual freedom. Why do they care who is screwing who? They take pensions & taxes non-discrimiately from all sexual preferences and refuse to give back the money since gay and lesbian couples are not or were not covered. The government should deal with what they were elected for. This like the economy, managing health care, international relations(hope no one in foriegn country is gay. Canada might just steal your wallet), budgetary management and so forth.

Let everyone be equal! How hard can this be? Remember the 8th grade required reading, Animal Farm by George Orwell? Society keeps falling back to what was painted on the barn "everyone is created equal, but some are more equal that others"(paraphrasing).

Medical terminology can cause confusion at the best of times. If there is a word you do not understand all you have to do is double-click on it and the definition will appear! Don't forget to drop me a line by email at versilleus@gmail.com with your comments, questions‚ recommended resources‚ concerns‚ & especially your experiences with clusters. Or come find me on my Facebook Profile to add me as a Friend. Whether you are a supporter‚ care-giver or sufferer. I would love to hear from you!

*Please do not use this information for self diagnoses. Writing about my experiences with chronic cluster headaches & epilepsy is a good outlet for me. Consult your Dr. with any kind of headache or chronic pain you may have. The 3rd party links on my site I have found to be a good resource to me over the past few years & dearly hope they will benefit you as well.*
