Positives of Cluster Headaches?

Wednesday, February 23, 2005

Lately‚ I have been thinking alot on how cluster headaches affect every aspect of my life. Then I began to wonder what the positive and negative impacts have been. With the amount of complaining that has been done on this blog the negative are always in the forefront. So I thought I would write a list of ways clusters have changed my life for the better. Yes‚ I said for the better. This list will be for the positives and tomorrows list will be for the negatives. Which I might add was a much easier list to write. Finding the worst in something is always easier‚ isn't it?

The positives clusters have had in my life:

–Found a whole new world of chronic pain sufferers I never even knew existed
–Helped 'weed out' the superficial individuals
–Learned extensively about disorders I have never heard of or would have taken the time to educate myself with.
–Spend more time focusing on & apprecating other sufferers in a similar situation.
–Try to enjoy the little things in life more.
–Read as often as I can now. As compared to turning on the TV.
–Do my best to enjoy the weather even when it causes me pain.
–Moved away from the town Mission.
–Immersed myself in educational books and websites for research
–Try not to dwell on problems which are unsolveable or miniscule in importance
–Found my true love in Mindy.

Basically trying to appreciate the time I have. Do you do the same?

Look‚ I don't want to wax philosophic‚ but I will say that if you're alive you've got to flap your arms and legs‚ you've got to jump around a lot‚ for life is the very opposite of death‚ and therefore you must at very least think noisy and colorfully‚ or you‚re not alive.

Medical terminology can cause confusion at the best of times. If there is a word you do not understand all you have to do is double-click on it and the definition will appear! Don't forget to drop me a line by email at versilleus@gmail.com with your comments, questions‚ recommended resources‚ concerns‚ & especially your experiences with clusters. Or come find me on my Facebook Profile to add me as a Friend. Whether you are a supporter‚ care-giver or sufferer. I would love to hear from you!

*Please do not use this information for self diagnoses. Writing about my experiences with chronic cluster headaches & epilepsy is a good outlet for me. Consult your Dr. with any kind of headache or chronic pain you may have. The 3rd party links on my site I have found to be a good resource to me over the past few years & dearly hope they will benefit you as well.*
