Some new friends

The past couple of days were draining for no reason other than a seizure and cluster. Mindy and I spent Saturday together going to various shops. She picked up a couple shirts for an upcoming wedding. No, not ours. One day maybe. After a bit of time at the mall I started to feel a tad disoriented followed by a sudden mood change. I should have picked on this prodrome aura.

At one time I could predict when I would collapse from exhaustion almost to the minute. My countdown would begin. If I did not make it back to my Granny's house, through the smoke filled air of up the stairs, and to my down covered bed I would be in big trouble. There were many times where I would be working at the back of her property, up a hill clearing a variety of earthly debris and would have an overwhelming urge to need to literally curl up in a ball under a tree. Most of the time I was lucky enough to make it to the tree before I collapsed from the exhaustion only a seizure can bring. This was before anyone would believe me and not taking medications.

Mindy and I did make it through half our 'to do' list. But I ruined the day with my seizure. We went straight home then I went straight to bed followed by 20 hours of an unwoken slumber. However, the reason I woke up was thanks to the piercing pain of a cluster. For the rest of the day the clusters were a half dozen in number coming to an end at around 10 pm and have been up ever since.

Here are couple of great sites to check out! Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is that little voice at the end of the day that says: "I'll try again tomorrow"

Medical terminology can cause confusion at the best of times. If there is a word you do not understand all you have to do is double-click on it and the definition will appear! Don't forget to drop me a line by email at versilleus@gmail.com with your comments, questions‚ recommended resources‚ concerns‚ & especially your experiences with clusters. Or come find me on my Facebook Profile to add me as a Friend. Whether you are a supporter‚ care-giver or sufferer. I would love to hear from you!

*Please do not use this information for self diagnoses. Writing about my experiences with chronic cluster headaches & epilepsy is a good outlet for me. Consult your Dr. with any kind of headache or chronic pain you may have. The 3rd party links on my site I have found to be a good resource to me over the past few years & dearly hope they will benefit you as well.*
